Excitement in Warwickshire is building as the famous Stoneleigh Park prepares to welcome the 2013 Espayo National Dressage Championships.

The UK's premier dressage event begins on Thursday September 19th and continues on until Sunday 22nd, with over 500 competitors all vying to take home one of the 22 titles on offer.

A spectators' dream, the four-day competition offers a visual feast of dressage performances, with everything from Preliminary to Grand Prix Freestyle events. The competition is fierce and tickets are selling out fast - so if you're keen to go along you better hurry up!

You can get up close to the action thanks to the compact and accessible layout, allowing you to get a great view of the competitors.

Organisers are keen to entertain you and topping the bill on Saturday and Sunday will be Laura Tomlinson, who will be giving two 30 minute master class performances displaying just what makes her an Olympic gold medal winner. Expect to learn the secrets to some of her trademark moves and plenty of tips on training your horse to be a world champion!

Hang around at the end and you could even try and ask for her autograph - just remember to bring a notepad and pen with you!

As well as talks from professionals, there are workshops teaching you everything you could want to know about dressage, how to care for your horse and how to take your riding skills to the next level.

There is also a fantastic shopping village packed with over 60 equestrian and lifestyle retailers - which can give you the lowdown on what to wear for dressage.

Tickets sell out early, but many people choose to make a weekend of it by staying on site and taking advantage of the camping and caravan spots available. There's a great community feel at the event and plenty of excellent facilities to help make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.
