Today it was all about the Driving competition and Team GBR were in a good position after the first phase, Driving Dressage.

The second phase, the marathon or cross country phase, got off to a strong start despite competitors initial reservations about the artificial surface that the obstacle section of the competition took place on.

Defending World Champion, Australia’s Boyd Exell, is currently holding the gold medal position despite having problems at obstacle number six when one of his wheelers became caught on a post.

The USA’s Chester Webber is holding silver medal position with The Netherland’s Theo Timmerman in bronze.

Team GBR remain in ninth position with Wilf and Georgina scoring the better scores today. Wilf has dropped one place into 18th and Georgina has dropped to 21st. today’s discard score, Dick Lane, has in fact risen one place to 34th and was the first British driver out on the course.

The Driving competition will finish on Sunday where all competitors will take part in the cones phase and the final medal positions will be decided.
